We sailed in 18-20 knots on Sunday. Everything was going well, no swims. On a downwind close to shark island we heard a big crack. We took the spin down and main and sailed under the jib back in. Our mast is cracked. We will have to see if it is fixable with some carbon carbon or $$$...
Our goals for the week :
-Fix the mast.
-Go over the full boat for possible problems and weak points.
-Get back on the water.

Nous avons fait de la voile dans 18-20 noeuds dimanche. Tout allez très bien, nous n'avions pas encore chaviré. Sous spi, près de "shark island" nous avons entendu un bruit suspect dans le mât. Nous avons affalé le spi et la grande voile pour rentrer au port sous le foc. Résultat de la journée, le mât a une grand fissure dans la partie en carbonne. Nous espérons que ce soit réparable...sinon $$$.
Nos buts pour la semaine :
-Réparer le mât.
-Faire une révision complète du bateau.
-Retourner le plus vite possible sur l'eau.
